Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives that is going to come out later this year. The game releases on November 8, 2019. As release time is getting closer Hideo Kojima has started to open up about the game. He talked about the difference in dialogues in the Japanese version and the English version.
Kojima talked about how he wrote the script in Japanese and then it was translated to English. He also mentioned that some other modifications are made according to the actor so that the lines sound cool. Here is what he had to say regarding the different dialogues in Death Stranding:
You can see the slight expression difference by watching subtitle and dubbed version in movies. For DS, the original script was written in Japanese by myself and gets translated into English. Then it moderated for each actors to make it sound cool at voice recording session.
Kojima has been very vocal on twitter and has been sharing more images of the game. He also likes to mention how much he has been working and when he is taking a break. This is nothing new. If you have been following Hideo Kojima for a while now then you might have seen the same thing happen back when Phantom Pain was in the works.
Kojima also likes to share the movies that he watches. Some people do dive too deep into these tweets and maybe there is some sort of hidden message but we are not sure about that. Just seems like a way of keeping the community updated regarding the development of Death Stranding.
Kojima also mentioned that the Japanese voice over needs to sync with the English dialogues so some lines are changed accordingly. Fans are excited about the upcoming title and keeping in mind how successful previously released PS4 exclusives have been the bar is set very high. It will be interesting to see what Death Stranding has to offer and how it is different from other games in 2019.
