Overwatch Hero 31 Teased To Be Coming Soon

Overwatch Hero 31

We have not seen a new Overwatch Hero in a while. With the addition of Baptist, the total number of heroes is now 30. Game director Jeff Kaplan teased that Overwatch Hero 31 would be coming soon.

He did not reveal much about the new hero but from his wording, we can deduce that this is going to be another male character. He did not reveal too much about the upcoming Hero 31 in Overwatch but he did mention that it will take a while longer for the devs to release the new character.

He also mentioned that the additional time will make the character even better. Here is what Kaplan had to say about Overwatch hero 31:

Well don’t worry, we are working on a hero. Hero number 31 is going to be awesome, but he is going to be released a little bit later than you’re used to. But he’ll be here soon enough, so don’t worry. And we think a little bit of extra time is going to make the hero even more awesome.

Fans have become used to a certain pattern for the content release but Kaplan mentioned that this time the developers are trying something new so things should take a while longer. He mentioned that Summer Games will be coming sooner than expected and that there is a small change that is being implemented that fans should enjoy.

There will be a mini-challenge for each fo the three weeks. Other little changes will be coming to the Summer Games and the Schedule. The devs are also working on little quality of life things too. Players should stay tuned for more updates but if you are interested in learning more about the developer update then you can check out the video below:
