Pokemon Sword and Shield are the next titles in the next franchise. Since the first games came out there have always been two versions. With that in mind, you must be interested in knowing about the differences between the two so that you can pick one for yourself.

If you have played the previous games then you know that some versions have exclusive Pokemon. The Sword version has Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o and Kommo-o. The Shield version has Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Goomy, Sliggoo, Goodra.

Like the previous games, the legendary Pokemon are also exclusive.  The Sword version has Zacian while the Shield version of the game features Zamazenta. Pokemon Sword and Shield also have exclusive Gym Leaders. Allister is only in Pokemon Shield and Bea is only in Pokemon Sword.

These are not the only exclusive Gym Leaders in Pokemon Sword and Shield. According to the official website, more Gym Leaders will be announced in the future. So stay tuned for more updates and news.

With the different version and exclusive Pokemon, the developers try to encourage players to trade with one another. This adds to the social aspect of the game. Even though we know about some exclusive Pokemon, exclusive Legendary Pokemon and Gym Leaders, there is still a lot that we do not know about the game.

Pokemon Sword and Shield release on November 15, so you will be able to learn more information close to the release date. The game is also playable on the upcoming Nintendo Switch Lite, that was just announced a few days ago. There is also a special Zacian and Zamazenta version of the console that will be available ahead of the game’s release.
