Over on Twitter Bluepoint Games is having some serious fun with their fans. They’ve posted a mysterious Tweet that contains hints of at least two remakes coming our way in the future, and a third possible one that may or may not be intended. Take a look at the cryptic Tweet below and read on for our analysis.
So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween. pic.twitter.com/mFFxI7BIDN

Who is Bluepoint Games?
If you’re unfamiliar with who Bluepoint Games is, then let us explain. These guys are the developer behind remasters such as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, Gravity Rush, Flower, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and the God of War Collection. These are some of the finest remasters on the market, bringing games from the Playstation 2 and 3 up to date graphically and audibly for modern consoles, and they play extremely well. Shadow of the Colossus in particular was a phenomenal remake, which was probably the best received of them all thanks to it being a firm favourite of a certain generation of gamers.
What’s Being Teased?
Now we’ve covered who Bluepoint Games is, what are they hinting at here? Well the first game is Demons Souls for sure. We can see this in the reference, ‘syphon souls‘. Given that Dark Souls has already seen a remaster for all major consoles, it’s about time that the game that started the genre off gets remastered or remade for everyone to enjoy on modern consoles. This could be further backed up by the section, ‘return from shadow‘, which might be talking about the game being left in the shadows for so long.
The second game being teased here is Metal Gear Solid, though this could also just be a reference to the entire Metal Gear Solid HD Remake Trilogy. Check out the words highlighted in the text here, ‘So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween‘. Whilst this doesn’t contain all the words from the Metal Gear Solid title, it’s pretty clear that is what is being referenced.
The third game I think is potentially being referenced is Syphon Filter. These games have never been remastered, but they were very popular in their day. Check out the highlighted words in the following sentences, ‘A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween‘. I only noticed this after reading through the Tweet a few times, but I’m still not certain about it. There have been rumours about a Syphon Filter remake in the past, but none of them have ever come to fruition.
To round things off, we know that Metal Gear Solid is a brand that Bluepoint Games has worked on before, but Konami seems to have stopped all work on it. Does that mean that further remakes are off the table? A Demons Souls remake has been rumoured in development with Bluepoint Games for some time, so I think it’s safe to assume that this is real. Finally, a Syphon Filer remake would be incredible, but it’s only happening if Metal Gear Solid is off the cards.
