Resident Evil 3 Remake Collector’s Edition Is Gorgeous

The Resident Evil 3 Remake Collector’s Edition has just been revealed, and it’s one of those editions that’s making me question why I need to save my money for food and bills. So far this edition is only available in the US, making it very hard to even see in the UK, and it’s exclusive to GameStop. Check out the image of the collector’s edition below and read on for more details about it.

Let me walk you through this fantastic edition of Resident Evil 3 Remake, which is easily worth buying even if, like me, you never played Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. The first item that’s included with this collector’s edition is of course the base game, though it’s only the standard edition. There was a digital deluxe edition of Resident Evil 2 Remake on digital storefronts that came will a couple of extra costumes, but at retail there wasn’t a deluxe edition. I’m going to say that this will probably be the same case for Resident Evil 3 Remake, which is why only the standard edition of the game is included in this bundle, though there is an additional costume pack that’s available from GameStop as a pre-order bonus.

The second item in this collector’s edition is the Jill Valentine figure, all 11 inches of it. I’m not a huge fan of this kind of figurine, but I can see the appeal, particularly for those collectors who have a cabinet of figures and other collectible items from the franchise. The fourth item in the bundle is the double-sided map of Racoon City. The map actually has some detail drawn onto it, which I’d say will definitely highlight either an easier path to take, or some hidden helpful items in the game.

The fifth item in the bundle is the digital double album soundtrack, easily an essential item for any Resident Evil fan. The sixth item is the collector’s edition packaging itself, a S.T.A.R.S item box that also acts as the packaging for the entire collector’s edition. This is a really nice touch that I appreciate as an old school Resident Evil fan, and I’m sure plenty of others will as well. The seventh and final item included in the bundle is my favourite though, the collector’s artbook. I’ve purchased collector’s editions for the artbook alone, but the Resident Evil universe is one I’d purchase in any way I could, even separately on Ebay.

Let us know if you’re mad enough, like me, to buy this edition in the comments.
