Today Is The Last Day You Can Get Assassin’s Creed 2 For Free

Assassins Creed Valhalla

Ubisoft has been very kind to us this week. If you head over to the UPlay store right now, you can download Assassin’s Creed 2 for free, but today is your last chance to do so. While I think that you should rethink your life if you need to be given a reason to buy a game for free, I do have some actual reasons that might sway you.

It’s Assassin’s Creed 2

First things first, this is Assassin’s Creed 2. The game is phenomenal for so many reasons, but mostly because it’s widely regarded as the start of the best trilogy in the franchise. Ezio is the best character in the series, by far, and this is his journey from birth (quite literally) to becoming an Assassin. It’s a fantastic story, that I’ve enjoyed multiple times over, and it will definitely get you into the series if you’ve never tried it out before. The first game is okay, but this is the real jumping in point.

It Isn’t A Bad Game

Yes, Assassin’s Creed 2 has its flaws, but on its own it’s actually a very well put together game. It’s got a great control scheme, loads of beautiful buildings to climb, and some of the best missions you’ll ever play in a game. The combat can let it down a little, but by the end you really won’t mind that, because you’ll just want an excuse to get stuck back into the world as much as possible. The later games are better, yes, but you’ll never get into them unless you play this free one, because you’ll have to spend money on them.

You Need To Play Something

Right now, we’re all a little tense. Being stuck indoors is no fun at all, and it can drive some of us a bit crazy. With that said, we live in an age when we have plenty of things to help us escape the reality of being stuck inside all day. Assassin’s Creed 2 is one of those things, and it’s totally free to play. I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t truly believe that this is a good game. Even though I own it for a few different consoles, I’m still going to download it for PC, because I know that I’ll enjoy it when I come to play it during lockdown.

Head to the UPlay store and download it here.
