Humour PC PS4

Fall Guys Has Some Ridiculous Stats

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a phenomenally fun game. It puts players in the shoes of a strange little creature, a Fall Guy, as they attempt to make their way through all sorts of gameshow-esque challenges. Every round sees more players eliminated, until only one emerges victorious. This game hasn’t even been out for a month, and it has some crazy stats. To top things off, there’s also a trailer for the game’s second season, which I presume is because everyone has already earned everything in season 1.

There are some really great looking cosmetics in there, and everyone is going to enjoy them. The beauty of Fall Guys’ battle pass, if you can call it that, is that it’s free. You can buy some cosmetics at a premium with real world money, but there’s absolutely no need to.

Now onto the stats! Well, on Steam, the game has shifted more than 7 million units. There are 7 billion people in the world, meaning that around one percent of the planet is now playing Fall Guys on Steam. That’s quite impressive when you consider that this is just one platform that we’re talking about. You’d have thought it was the major platform as well, since it’s on PC, but it seems like PlayStation 4 is where the game has sold best.

I say sold, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout launched as a free game for PlayStation Plus in August. This means that almost everyone who has the service has downloaded the game. The last game to claim this title was Rocket League, but then Fortnite overtook it. In terms of PlayStation Plus games, Fall Guys is the most downloaded ever. Unfortunately Sony hasn’t shared numbers, but when you realise that there are 36 million PlayStation Plus subscribers worldwide, you realise that a significant amount have almost certainly downloaded the game.

I’m still playing Fall Guys on a daily basis. It’s really fun just to sit down and spend ten minutes bashing out a couple of matches. The game has so many players, and is so fun to play, that it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down anytime soon. I’m quite looking forward to whatever comes to the game this Christmas.
