It’s 2021, Let’s Have Some Metroid Prime 4 News

The Nintendo Switch launched in 2017. Over the last couple of years, it’s become the best-selling console on the market. In 2021, that may waver with more stock of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on the way, but for the most part, it is still a very popular console. However, there’s one thing that could help it maintain its popularity throughout the year. That thing is a game called Metroid Prime 4, something that was used as pre-launch marketing material, a game that most Switch fans have been eager to get their hands on for years. Now that we’re into 2021, and PlatinumGames is eager to work on a bunch of new projects, this is the time to give us what we want.

The Metroid Prime series is easily the best in the franchise’s history. The three games that it’s comprised of are all set in first person, but push players through the same sort of Metroidvania gameplay. you need to collect abilities throughout each game in order to access new areas. Of course, this means that you go back on yourself quite a lot, but no one really minds that since the progression system is so incredibly entertaining.

Metroid Prime 4 will take the series not only to a whole new level, but also a brand new console on the Switch. The console is build to handle fantastic first-person shooters, this is evident from the ports of DOOM and Skyrim alone. There’s so much power in the device that any type of game would look incredible, but for some reason, it’s taken three years and we still have absolutely nothing on the Metroid Prime 4 front.

This year so far, Nintendo doesn’t have a lot to offer Switch fans. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for a year, and Monster Hunter Rise is going to be this year’s blockbuster. There is definitely space for a much bigger game to come along and steal the show on the Switch, it just depends on when PlatinumGames can get it out. Hopefully, we’ll get the game before the end of this year, because Metroid fans have been slowly losing hope in the background all through the past three years.
