Resident Evil Village Appears To Have A New Family To Deal With

Last week’s Resident Evil Village showcase was nuts. We were given quite a few details in a very short space of time. One of the details that I feel was skipped over very quickly is the fact that there seems to be a brand new family to deal with in this game. Players take on the role of Ethan Winters once again, but the Bakers are long gone. This time around though, I can see at least five new members of the same family who are all out to either kill or so something very nasty with Ethan. Check out the video below and see what you think.

Okay, so the first family member is the colossal, yet beautiful woman at the start of the video. She’s the one in the massive hat struggling her way through standard-sized doorways. She seems to be a key part of the family, but she’s not the head of it. At the start of this whole video, she’s chatting to someone on the phone. I reckon that’s the head of the family, the person orchestrating everything here. We don’t see them though, so I’m not sure.

The next family member we’re introduced to is this woman’s brother. He’s the one who has been keeping Ethan down in the Village. Apparently, Ethan has escaped, and now she’s out to imprison him once again. I think the brother is probably one of the werewolf-like people, but I can’t be sure.

Finally, we have the three daughters. These are the women flying around as clouds of bugs. They’re utterly terrifying, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to fight them when it comes to it.

Each of these characters has something going on with them. Whether it’s just being excessively tall, traveling as a cloud of insects, or being a wolf-man, they’re all affected by something. I think that these might be mutations caused by some form of the virus that we faced in the form of mold in Resident Evil 7. It’s strange, because it doesn’t seem like a natural evolution, but then when a little girl can control you with mold, what is? Regardless, these people are all related, and I like the theme as a group of enemies.
