Hitman 3’s February Roadmap Is A Great Start

Hitman 3 only just launched in January, but having played through all the content on offer, I can safely say that it’s sorely lacking in the post-launch content department. However, IO Interactive has now stepped in with their roadmap for the game’s content over the course of February. Traditionally, the developer would keep adding new content every month for the rest of the year after a new Hitman game’s launch. my hope is that by the end of 2021, we have a fully fleshed out Hitman 3 that’s worthy of being the finale of the reboot trilogy. February is definitely a good start though.

As you will see in the video, there’s a lot of stuff coming towards the end of the month. At the time of writing, I’ve been playing through the brand new Escalation already. One thing I’ve noticed is that it’s full of bugs. It’s almost unplayable, except if you get things just right. We’ll see how the community reacts to that overall, but for the most part, it is a brilliant new Escalation.

The rest of the month is packed with all the things that make Hitman great. We’ve got some new curated Featured Contracts from fans of the game, and even our first Elusive Target. These are the things that give Hitman games their replayability, and Hitman 3 has needed them to be there since January. I think it’s due to the lack of content in Hitman 3 itself. That’s why it feels like so much more is needed to bring this game up to standard.

Hopefully IO Interactive has more plans in place for adding Escalations, Featured Contracts, and Elusive Targets throughout the year. This will definitely make the game a better place to be. If there was a system that added rollingElusive Targets, that would be even better. The developer wants to take their hands off of the franchise now, but they can’t leave the games without something regularly popping up to keep everyone interested.

Maybe we’ll even get some reworked locations like we had with Hitman and Hitman 2, though of course, we want IO Interactive to have time to work on their James Bond game as well.
