Don’t Forget To Play Hitman 3 Season of Gluttony Today

Yesterday, Hitman 3 Season of Gluttony launched across all platforms. I’m writing this ahead of time because I know that I’ll be stuck playing through all of the new content it adds on the actual day and long after. The new Escalation has some awesome new items to earn, and I’ll be damned if I’m not walking around with those at all times from the day of release onwards. This article is more of a gentle reminder that there’s new content to enjoy in the game, but also a pointer to tell you what you should do first, since this season is going to be different from all the others once again.

Frist, understand that there’s no new update for Hitman 3 with this season. Io Interactive has made this clear, but they haven’t said why. I think it’s because they’ve decided to rework the next load of content, and they want to give themselves more time to add in as much as they can in the next update. I really hope that we get some more randomization in the next season, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Even if we don’t, I think Io Interactive now knows what we want enough to give us the best content possible.

Second, just play the new Escalation. It’s all about feeding the pig. At the time of writing, I don’t know what this means. In my head, I think we’ll be killing marked targets to increase a meter over time, but Agent 47 will have limited energy as he did in Season of Sloth. This would be a nice twist and new take on a mechanic that we’re familiar with. I think that these mechanics need to be utilized more because there are just so many of them that just go underused.

Finally, keep an eye out for the new Featured Contracts. Io Interactive added a few more last week, and they’re really good. I think that relying on the community more for contracts is what will help keep the community going and creating for longer. We’re all better than the games journalists and content creators out there.
