Io Interactive Should Add More Featured Contracts To Hitman 3 Every Week

Io Interactive is getting pretty good about adding the content players want into Hitman 3. We’ve had a couple of rocky seasons in the beginning, but now we’re in the full flow of good missions that people enjoy playing. I think a big part of this is that Io Interactive is now relying much more on the community of players to put together the Featured Contracts it’s adding to the game. I like that big name press sites and content creators are working on these for the game as well, but I don’t think any of them have been as good as what actual players have added. Let’s have more of that.

Here’s the thing about content creators. Unless they’re dedicated to only playing Hitman 3, they’re going to move onto whatever game pays them the most. If a developer offers a sponsorship, they’ll probably take it. They might play a game they like for a while, but money talks louder. That’s why I think we need more Featured Contracts from the community. Each season, we’re getting three or five, but why not increase the regularity of which they’re added and drop them once per week? Hitman 3 players are dedicated enough to work through them, so there’s no reason not to.

The developers at Io Interactive are clearly busy, and the team on Hitman 3 is small. I understand that, and I’m excited about what the rest of the team is working on. However, I also think that they could make things easier for themselves by simply offering more Featured contracts from the community over content creators. This means that there’s consistently more in the game, and they can then add new cosmetics or items to earn for completing the slowly growing number of these Contracts in the game. That’s the meat that players are after, so why not give it to them?

I think we’ll see this shift as the Seasons of Sin Collection comes to a close, but until then, unfortunately, it looks like we’re stuck with only two drops of Featured Contracts per season. I’d be interested to read what you think in the comments. If you’d prefer more original content or are happy to get more Featured Contracts every week?
