Call of Duty: Ghosts looks set to be the next title in Activision’s hugely-successful FPS series after two retailers mistakenly leaked release information about the game.
Listings posted on both Target and Tesco Direct’s websites (which have since been removed) appeared to confirm the long-standing rumours that Activision would drop the ‘Modern Warfare’ tag from their Infinity Ward-developed strand of Call of Duty titles in favour of a new strapline.
The game is expected to be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this autumn. Its predecessor, Black Ops II, grossed a record-breaking $1 billion within 15 days of release last November.
