Players are today being given the opportunity to sample EA-published shooter Fuse ahead of its release later this month.
Developed by Insomniac – best known as the creators of the Spyro, Ratchet & Clank and Resistance franchises – Fuse is a futuristic co-op action game in which players must assume the role of special agents as they defend mankind against a deadly alien energy source.
In the demo, out now on the Xbox Live marketplace and PSN store, gamers are able to play through one of the game’s snow-covered levels either online co-operatively or offline in two-player splitscreen mode.
Founder and CEO of Insomniac Games, Ted Price, said: "When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing… Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you won’t find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system."
The game, which is Insomniac’s first cross-platform franchise, will be released on May 28 (May 31 in Europe) on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
