Naughty Dog has said Uncharted on PlayStation VR ‘could be interesting’ – but don’t expect it to happen any time soon.
Following a presentation at EGX 2015 on the history of the series, Naughty Dog’s community strategist Arne Meyer was asked by Power Up Gaming what the studio thinks of the virtual reality headset, and whether the action gameplay of the Uncharted series could lend itself to VR in the future. Meyer replied:
“It could be interesting. We’ve had [Project Morpheus/PS VR] in the studio, and we’re always interested in looking at new technology and seeing how we can push narrative and gameplay for it. I think that right now, we’re happy with putting it on a TV screen, but we’re really interested in seeing what other people might come up with… I think we’re right at the beginning with it, but yeah, it’s something we definitely take a look at.”
