Filters and Gameplay Tweaks From UC2 Available Across Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Many of Uncharted 2’s exclusive gameplay tweaks and graphical filters will be available across the entire Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Naughty Dog has today confirmed.

Earlier this weekend, the company’s community strategist Arne Meyer confirmed in a live Q&A session at EGX 2015 that the popular aiming mechanics from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would be featured in all of the games across the trilogy in the upcoming remastered compilation.

That won’t the only mechanic from UC2 to find its way into Uncharted 1 and 3, either, according to Naughty Dog staffers Josh Scherr, Joe Pettinati and Kurt Margenau. The trio confirmed earlier today that many of Among Thieves’ unlockable gameplay tweaks, including the ability for one-shot kills and unlimited ammo, along with sepia, black and white, and ‘next gen’ filters, will be available for all three games in the collection. Scherr explained that many of these were absent in the game’s successor due to time constraints, likely caused by having to produce the game in stereoscopic 3D.

Pettinati, Scherr and Margenau were speaking on a Twitch live stream as part of Naughty Dog’s ‘Uncharted Memories’ series in the run-up to the release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on October 7. The hour-long video saw the developers discussing various aspects of Uncharted 2’s production while playing through its iconic train sequence.
