In Sony’s PlayStation Experience presentation, Insomniac Games revealed an April 28 release date for the self-titled Ratchet and Clank movie along with an April 12 release for the coinciding game of the same name.
The previously shown Groovitron and Pixelizer weapons were showcased along with an intro for the movie, and although none of these reveals were new, the combination of movie and game elements revealed just how closely the two interacts with each other.
Ratchet is shown in the movie’s intro moments before he meets his iconic robotic sidekick, Clank as he crash lands on the planet the Lombax is inhabiting. After the two team up, they set off on their adventure where the action smoothly transitions into gameplay.
All of the familiar platforming and gun play is present in the game and will pair up with the story that sheds light on the blossoming friendship between R&C.
