Hyrule Warriors Legends, the 3DS version of Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mashup Hyrule Warriors, will add Classic Link as a costume choice. This is the Link that appeared in the Gameboy games like the Oracle series. In Japan (for now), a Hyrule Gold version of the New 3DS XL will re-release with a download code for the outfit.
Classic Link is already available in North America for the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors as DLC. Also, the Hyrule Gold New 3DS XL will not actually be packaged with the Hyrule Warriors Legends game, but rather include a redeemable code for the costume when the game is purchased separately. For the time being, the New 3DS deal will only be available in Japan when the console launches on January 21 alongside Hyrule Warriors Legends, but don’t be surprised if we see it on western shelves soon after.
