Tracer Getting Nerfed In Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm

Overwatch

Everyone’s favourite British, time-jumping shooter, Tracer, is apparently a bit too powerful in the world of Heroes of the Storm. The character, originally from Blizzard’s Overwatch, will receive a rather significant power and skill reduction.

PCGamer reports that a balance patch will soon be released to make Tracer slightly less tanky.  The update includes an adjustment of her skill cooldowns as well as her health bar amount, and the rate at which her health regenerates.  In an effort to further balance out the character and her nerfed skills, Blizzard has commented that Tracer will get slight buffs as well.

“As we’re sure many of you have noticed, Tracer is performing just a little too well on all fronts. While we are excited to bring her to the Nexus, we understand that in the right hands, she can be an absolute terror to the enemy team. We’re lowering her Health, Basic Attack damage, and increasing Recall’s cooldown to make her less universally powerful.”  Blizzard went on to comment that at her Level 16 Talent tier, Tracer’s Basic Attack damage will be buffed to allow players a more logical choice between Pulse Bomb Charges and Basic Attacks.  The update should go live tomorrow.

Tracer was in instant favourite when she was debuted as a character in Heroes of the Storm last month, and still remains a favourite in Overwatch. Fans of the spunky shooter will definitely want to take advantage of Overwatch’s open beta, starting May 5 and ending May 9.
