The upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will feature characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises as DLC.

That’s according to industry insider ‘Ryce’, who shared the information in a NeoGAF discussion thread dedicated to the long-awaited fighting game:

“Yesterday, I was told with complete certainty that X-Men and Fantastic Four characters will be coming… as DLC. It’s a done deal.”

While it’s always important to take forum posts such as these with a grain of salt, the same user has been responsible for providing reliable information in the past; he actually leaked the news of the game’s announcement at PSX 2016 last week.

Ryce’s post came amidst a discussion on whether or not characters and franchises currently owned by Fox would feature in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, which is due to release in late 2017.

Another user, robot, apparently corroborated Ryce’s announcement by stating, “fwiw, i heard the same thing”. The same user suggested the game’s initial roster would be comprised of around 30 characters.

This news comes hours after Captain America and Morrigan Aensland were officially confirmed for inclusion in the title by Capcom.
