Capcom to Make Changes to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 After Title Rated M in Australia

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

The PS4 re-release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been delayed in Australia due to the title receiving an M for Mature classification.

In a press release issued earlier today, Capcom confirmed that it was to make a number of minor changes to the fighting game before seeking to have it reclassified, pushing its launch back until February at the earliest.

The publisher’s full statement reads: “Due to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 receiving a higher age rating in the ANZ regions the team have to make some minor changes to the rating settings of the game in order for it to release and as such there is unfortunately a delay. We hope to be able to release the game for players of 15+ age in February and will have more news soon. We apologise for the delay in bringing the game to fans in this territory.”

The game’s M classification is significantly higher than the PG rating afforded to its original release on PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2011.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s re-release last month coincided with the company’s announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite at PSX 2016.
