Overwatch PTR Patch 1.7 Now Live; Makes Further Changes to Roadhog’s Hook

After a short delay, Overwatch’s previously announced PTR (public test region) update is now live for testing.

Patch 1.7 makes further tweaks to Roadhog’s hook following user testing, which was changed up substantially in the last PTR update. Blizzard has added additional line of sight checks to the left and right of a potential hook target, “making it easier to hook someone who is sticking halfway out of a doorway, or behind a thin pole”.

Additionally, hooked targets are now slowed substantially while stunned, even if they are in the air. Finally, a bug that allowed users to hook a player and pull them behind them if they spun around at the right time has been fixed

Elsewhere, the patch reduces the duration of Ana’s biotic grenade from five seconds to four, while Sombra has had her hack cooldown reduced from 12 seconds to eight.
