Frogwares Thank Everyone For Their Support With Free Content From Their Sherlock Holmes Games

Frogwares, developers of the Sherlock Holmes games, is thanking fans and those in the industry who have shown them support and kindness over the last week with some free exclusive behind the scenes content from their Sherlock Holmes games.

The developer revealed that they had received a letter last week that would result in most of their games being de-listed from digital storefronts. We covered all of the details in our last article on the subject, which you can read here. To cut a long story short though, Focus Home Interactive implemented a policy that meant that they would be de-listing all of Frogware’s games, and Frogwares would cease to receive income from them until they could get them put back up on those stores. This process, they said, would take months.

Today Frogwares has confirmed that 9 out of the potential 10 games they expected to be de-listed, have been so. The only title that hasn’t been de-listed is Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments. Currently you can still pick the game up on Steam, if you want to purchase it before it disappears.

Frogwares says that they’re ‘fighting an uphill battle’, and are frantically submitting their games to be listed on storefronts once again. However, as they speculated previously, this process is going to take months, and the company won’t see any income from these games between now and when they’re re-listed.

Silver Lining

However, on the other side of this tragic news, Frogwares thanked everyone who has supported them since they made the announcement of their games being de-listed. They say that the amount of support and love from both the industry, and the public, has been phenomenal, and blown them away.

As a way to say thank you to everyone, they’ve put together an exclusive present. This is a digital booklet of behind the scenes content from their Sherlock Holmes games, as well as some stories and anecdotes that they had. The booklet is called Sherlock Holmes: Memories, Stories, Thoughts, and it’s freely available to anyone who wants it. In order to get this booklet, all you need to do is go to GOG.com and use the redeem code SWEETTHANKS. The booklet will be available as free DLC for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments on Steam in a few hours from the time of writing. Alternatively there is a direct link here.

As Frogwares manages to get their games re-listed on storefronts they’ll be letting everyone know on Twitter. Let us know how you feel about the situation in the comments.
