Hitman 3’s trophy list got revealed this week, and trophy hunters have been going through it ever since in preparation for the game’s launch. As someone who has been eager to get a Hitman platinum since the first Hitman reboot denied me it’s digital bling, I’m extremely excited to get my hands on this one. So, like all these other trophy hunters, I’ve been looking at what I could pick up easily in the game, trying to make some sort of preparations for when I first get into the game and play through all the missions. One trophy stands out to me though, a multiplayer one that I reckon will make most players stumble.
The trophy in question is called “Top of the Class” and requires players to beat the highest score on a contract. This isn’t a contract in the game’s story though. This is a contract that another player has created. Since the first game in this reboot trilogy, players have had the power to create their own contracts within any of the missions in the game. A target could be a passerby on the street, and you might be able to kill them with anything. However, the better contracts are those that have a specific, well-hidden target, and a certain requirement on the weapon and outfits used to kill them.
Most players will only play through the core content on Hitman 3. That’s just how it will be. But for those who want this trophy, and indeed those who enjoy the user-generated content, this is going to be the hardest challenge. Since most players will get to a contract within minutes, you’ll have to beat extremely high scores. Not only that, you’ll need to beat the score set by the player who made the contract.
Sure, there are trophies for locating obscure items and doing a certain set of tasks in the main missions, but nothing is more unpredictable than leaderboards and user-generated content. I’m definitely up for the challenge on this one. I think it’s going to be fun, but I also think that it’ll trip a lot of other players up. All I can say is good luck, and please pray for me.
