Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an upcoming action-adventure game being published by Ubisoft. The game will allow you to explore a never before seen region of Pandora called the Western Frontier. You play as a Na’vi orphan whose goal it is to help fight back against the RDA. In terms of the gameplay, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora looks truly amazing. It takes full advantage of current-generation machines and the end result is truly something to behold.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth – 28/01/2024
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the very latest entry in the highly popular ‘Yakuza’ franchise. It follows the adventure of Ichiban Kasuga as he departs for Hawaii in search of his mother. This game retains the turn-based battle style first introduced in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It however mixes things up with plenty of new jobs and characters. This includes returning characters such as long-time series protagonist Kiryu Kazuma. Not only this, but Infinite Wealth will feature tons of new mini-games and other fun side-activities to do around Hawaii. The new locale is a series first and marks a fresh new set of scenery for the franchise as a whole. If the previous games are anything to go by, we are in for a treat when this game launches in January 2024.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – 29/02/2024
First up on the list is none other than Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This is the second instalment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project. It continues the story of Cloud and his allies as they leave Midgard for the first time. Unlike the first part of the remake project, this game will take full advantage of the power of the PS5. As you can see in the trailer below, the game has absolutely stunning visuals. It will also be taking players to many familiar and beloved areas such as Costa Del Sol and the Golden Saucer. All in all, this has the makings of a truly fantastic remake, and will certainly be a must-play for fans of the RPG genre. It launches on the PS5 on 29th February 2024. Marvel’s Wolverine – TBA
Following the success of the Spider-Man titles on PS5, insomniac studios will next be focusing on Marvel’s Wolverine. The details are still sparse on this title, but we know that it will be a PS5 exclusive with a fairly dark and mature tone. Given Insomniac studio’ stellar track record, it is hard not to excited for this title. Hopefully, it will release next year in 2024.
Death Stranding 2 – TBA
Death Stranding was a highly popular PS4 exclusive. Developed by Hideo Kojima, you played as Sam Porter Bridges who was tasked with delivering cargo across the United States. This game is now finally getting a full sequel for the PS5. There are few details available on the game at this present moment. However, it looks to be another deep, cinematic experience sure to take full advantage of the PS5.
Silent Hill 2 Remake – TBA
Silent Hill 2 was first released on the PS2 back in 2001 and was met with critical acclaim. The game pioneered the psychological horror genre and it was especially praised for its story and atmosphere. As a result, many long-time fans were overjoyed when hearing the announcement that a remake was in the works. Silent Hill 2 for PS5 completes rehauls the visuals of the original to provide a more scary and immersive experience than ever.
