How to Play Android Games on PC

There are innumerable games to download and play on the Google Play Store. From MMO’s such as Genshin Impact and Black Desert Online to racers such as Asphalt 9: Legends, there is something for everyone. However, if you want to appreciate these games on a larger screen, then you may be interested in playing them on a PC. Thankfully, there are now multiple ways of doing exactly that. Below, I will outline and explain the two easiest ways of playing Android games on PC.

How to Play Android Games on PC

Google Play Games

Google Play Games is a fantastic new service allowing you to play a large selection of Android games on your computer.

In order to set it up, first start by accessing the official site here. Next, click on the download beta link you will see on the site. Once downloaded, find its file and select ‘run as administrator’. This will allow it to fully install.

After this, you will be presented with the Google Play Store on your PC. The first thing you must now do is to sign into your Google Play Account. After this you should be able to access and play the majority of games. It is just a case now of simply searching for whatever you want and downloading them.

There are just two important things to note however. Firstly, some computers may need to download a program called ‘Windows Hypervisor Platform once on the Google Play Store. If so, simply follow the on-screen instructions. Lastly, it is also important to make sure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Google Play Games. You can find them listed below.

  • OS: Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Storage: Solid State Drive (SSD) with 10 GB of available storage space
  • Graphics: IntelⓇ UHD Graphics 630 GPU or comparable
  • Processor: 4 CPU physical cores (some games require an Intel CPU)
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualisation must be turned on

Bluestacks

The other popular way to play Android games on your PC is through an emulator called ‘Bluestacks’.

The installation process is simple and should allow you to start playing android games in no time at all.

Start by visiting the Bluestacks website here. Next click download and press on the file bluestack.exe file in order to install it. Once complete, you will be greeted with an Android home screen. From here, simply select the Google Play Store icon and make sure to sign into your Google Play Account. You will then be free to browse the store and download any Android game to your liking.

As you can see above, playing Android games on your PC has never been easier. Whether you choose Bluestacks, Google Play Games or any other emulator, you will have Android games running on your computer in no time!
