Atomic Heart is a great game that will keep you busy with its puzzles and quests, and one of the quests is Not a Password. You will encounter the quest while in a ballet venue, Theater, crawling with enemies. As you traverse the area, you will find a locked door that will cut down your pursuit of Petrov.
There is no key but you will need to find the Engineer in the area and this guide will give you a step-by-step walkthrough to locate the Engineer, decipher the code, and continue your pursuit through the Theater.
Atomic Heart: Not a Password At All Quest Guide
Follow these simple steps if you want to solve the quest and continue your adventure in this retro-futuristic first-person shooter.
While in the Theater’s stage and bar area, you will be prompted to find the engineer. However, the answer is elsewhere. Follow these steps:
- Locate the hall you used to enter the bar and stage area
- Go up the staircases that you passed earlier that lead up.
- You’ll find a door directly opposite you at the top of the stairs. Head inside this area, known as the Coat Check.
- explore and gather any lootable items within the Coat Check. Don’t forget to grab the Chirper titled “Mutiny, or ‘The World vs. Stefan Lastochkin’.”
- Now, you need to find the deceased Engineer’s body within the Coat Check. You will find a key next to his body. It is a piece of paper, which holds the crucial code for the locked door. The paper clearly shows that lighting up the top dots on the top row and the left-sided dot on the bottom row will open the locked door.
Now, return to the bar and stage area and go to the locked door. Use the code to unlock it and once you do that, you will go into a control room. Loot once again, and find the Chirper titled “The Theater Needs a Change” within the control room.
As you are done with this, the second part of the quest will start. Go back to the stairs and enter the Breakroom (no break here). Instead of a rest, you will face a dozen mutants so you better have enough health and ammo. Activate the console behind the locked door you opened and the enemies will start launching at you.
When you have defeated all the mutants, you will be able to grab the Chirper “Becoming Lastochkin, or ‘The Making of a Psychopath'” on the pedestal with the ballerina on the stage. Once everything settles, continue your adventure.
