Spotle
Spotle is one of the most fun daily puzzle games we’ve come across in recent months. While still being made for music fans, unlike Heardle Decades you don’t actually have to listen to any songs here. You simply have to name the ‘artist of the day’, and you have 10 guesses to get there.
With 1,000 artists featured in total, Spotle is challenging – but not as gruelling as some other trivia games. When you’re ready to start, click Play above.
Players must make their initial guess, which could be a solo artist or group, and a number of attributes will be revealed, colour coded in line with how ‘hot’ or ‘cold’ your answer was to the correct one.
Each artist is characterised by their debut, number of members, popularity, gender, genre and country, with green being used when an attribute of your guessed artist matches the featured one, yellow when ‘close’, and grey when there is no match. It’s a classic formula that users of Wordle or any of its other spinoffs will already be familiar with.

About Spotle
Spotle was created by Flatwhite Studios, the creators of another popular browser game, Harmonies. It’s an unashamed clone of Wordle, Globle and other daily puzzle games, and particularly interesting for music fans who find Heardle just a little too tough. The 10 questions and 1,000 artist limit certainly makes it a little easier than others.
Spotle Strategy
Keep an eye on the arrows that appear next to the attributes that display underneath your latest guess. This indicates whether the correct answer is higher or lower than yours. Outside of that, use the clues wisely, ensuring you don’t waste a guess on an answer you should have already ruled out. Of course, we’re always on hand if you need a bit of a cheat!
