Details surrounding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 began to surface in November 2023 and then in May 2024 a short teaser ‘The Truth Lies’ marked the official reveal of the game. More details were shared at the Xbox Summer Games Showcase, including the official release date.
However, true fans want to know more about Black Ops 6, including whether it will be available on previous-gen consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One.
Will Call of Duty Black Ops 6 be on PS4 and Xbox One?
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024, and will be playable on both PS4 and Xbox One. Black Ops 6 will feature an ominous Cold War-era story campaign, multiplayer mode, and the iconic Round-Zombies mode that fans know and love.
This iteration of Black Ops also has the always-wanted cross-play functionality, allowing you to team up with friends across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms.
If you’re playing on an Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5, download the current-gen version. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users will need to download the last-gen version.
Xbox One gamers with a Game Pass subscription are in luck! Black Ops 6 will be available to play through Game Pass on day one, offering another way to jump into the action.
Several pre-order options are available, including the standard edition and the feature-packed Vault Edition. The Vault Edition comes with bonus content like operator skins, weapon blueprints, and a Battle Pass for the game’s first season.
We suggest you mark your calendar for October 24, 2024. However, be sure to opt for the right edition of the game. The pre-orders have been open since June 9. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on PS4 and Xbox One this will certainly affect the graphics and overall gameplay experience as Treyarch intended this as a next-gen game. Nevertheless, the high-octane action won’t be absent at all on last-gen consoles.
