All New Dracthyr Classes Arriving in WoW The War Within

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the new Drathcyr classes arriving with Patch 11.0.5 of World of Warcraft, The War Within. The new classes allow Dracthyrs to be more than just Evokers, and fans can choose from a Hunter or a Warlock Drathcyr. 

The exposure to new races and their abilities in the Dragon Isles has expanded opportunities for growth among the dracthyr. In the 20th Anniversary Celebration content update, players will be able to create new Dracthyr as a Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Warrior, or Warlock

Blizzard has also revealed more content for the 20th Anniversary celebration content update, which will allow players to create Dracthyrs of 7 classes.

New Adjustments to Dracthyr Classes in WoW The War Within 

Blizzard has revealed the list of adjustments to Dracthyr Classes coming in the upcoming update for WoW The War Within. Fans can choose to play in the Normal Dracthyr form and have a different form for combat by activating Visage, which can be toggled on by clicking on the ‘Chosen Identity’.

Turning on ‘Chosen Identity’ will automatically shift the Dracthyr into the ‘Visage form’ when leaving combat. However, fans who choose to play Dracthyr as an Evoker in the game will remain to use the Dracthyr form during combat.

  • Race – Dracthyr
    • play Tail Swipe cooldown has been increased to 3 minutes (was 1.5 minutes).
    • Wing Buffet cooldown has been increased to 3 minutes (was 1.5 minutes). It now displays wing effects around your character if you use it while in Visage form.
    • Tail Swipe and Wing Buffet no longer automatically shift you into Dracthyr form for all classes except Evoker.
  • Class – Evoker
    • Clobbering Sweep reduces Tail Swipe’s cooldown by 2 minutes (was 45 seconds).
    • Heavy Wingbeats reduces Wing  cooldown by 2 minutes (was 45 seconds).
    • Permeating Chill is now baseline for Evoker.

The trailblazing WoW update also introduces modernized versions of existing classic Tier 2 sets, and each set arrive with an ensemble of nine pieces.

  • Demon Hunter: Netherwalker’s Eternal Armor
  • Druid: Stormrage Raiment
  • Evoker: Earth-Warder’s Eternal Armor
  • Hunter: Dragonstalker Armor
  • Mage: Netherwind Regalia
  • Monk: Eternal Battlegear of the August Acolyte
  • Paladin: Judgement Armor
  • Priest: Vestments of Transcendance
  • Rogue: Bloodfang Armor
  • Shaman: Then Ten Storms
  • Warlock: Nemesis Raiment
  • Warrior: Battlegear of Wrath

Blizzard has also announced that Patch 11.05 will introduce a new Skyriding talent called Squadron, in which two Dracthyr players would be able to join in flying formation, forming a group of three.

The update will also introduce a new currency, called Bronze Celebration Tokens. Fans can then proceed to earn these tokens during the quests and activities which will be introduced in the update. The 20th anniversary update for World of Warcraft will also introduce new pets, and bring back other older pets earlier available through events and other anniversary updates.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.05 will also introduce a Timewalking event that will take them through the original version of Deadmines, Zul’Farrak, Dire Maul (east and west wings), and Stratholme’s. During the course of the event, fans will be able to pick up exclusive items from Timewalking vendors. Here are some of the items the update will include:

  • Enchanted Spellweave Carpet (from Wrath of the Lich King)
  • Amani Hunting Bear (from the Burning Crusade)
  • Frayfeather Hippogryph (from Classic World of Warcraft)
