Blizzard Entertainment allows players of their massively popular MMO to restore items, in case fans accidentally sell an important item to a vendor, or disenchant and destroy it. Items can be restored in World of Warcraft using the Item Restoration service on the publisher’s website.
How to Use Blizzard’s Item Restoration Service for World of Warcraft
- Click on the Item restoration page located on the Blizzard website.
- Once you open the page on your browser, click on “Begin item restoration”.
- Select your character from the list.
- Select the items from the list that you wish to restore for the character.
- Once you’ve selected the items, click on “Review Item Restoration” to successfully confirm the items.
However, fans should note that they can restore only 50 items for each character within a period of 7 days.
The ‘Item Restoration’ option comes in handy if you can’t use the ‘Buy back’ option to restore the goods you didn’t want to sell to a vendor. However, fans should also note that while restoring the items, players would have to use the resources they used in order to get those items.
After your request is processed, Blizzard will mail your lost items directly to your character in the game. However, the publisher has noted that they’ll reclaim any enchanting materials received upon restoring disenchanted items. This is stop players from gaining enchanting materials by exploiting the item restoration service.
The ‘Item Restoration service’ cannot restore any Quest items, or pets and mounts. Fans also won’t be able to restore items previously sold in the Auction House available in World of Warcraft. To use this service, fans must have an active World of Warcraft account. However, fans cannot restore Stackable crafting materials, heirlooms, holiday or temporary items in World of Warcraft. On the other hand, items traded or mailed to another character, or items destroyed before fans changed their server or faction, cannot be restored in the game.
However, fans should note that if they deleted the character that had the same item, fans should first undelete the character in the game for the items to show up in the Item Restoration service list on Blizzard’s site. Wait for a few moments after you undelete your character in Warcraft, and then look for the character’s item that you’ve scrapped or disenchanted, to be available to restore in the service list.
