Tae Takemi is a Confidant in Persona 5 Royal who acts as an aiding character for the Phantom Thieves. Like other Confidants, you can start increasing the social link rank on a specific date at her clinic, unlocking various abilities to help you in battles.

Still, progressing this Conifdant can be hectic if you’re unfamiliar with Takemi. Additionally, equipping a Death Arcana Persona will provide you with bonus points. Here is a detailed guide on how to progress through Takemi Confidant in Persona 5 Royal.

Where and When To Find Takemi Confidant in Persona 5?

Tae Takemi will naturally join the story as you progress through the early stages of the game. However, the first social link interaction begins on April 18th.

You can find her writing down prescriptions at her clinic in the Yongen-Jaya area near Cafe Leblanc. Initiate a conversation with her once a card is visible above her to start the social link. She is not limited to any date and time, so you can always visit her clinic and find her waiting for you.

Takemi Confidant All Ranks Levelling Process

Every level of a Confidant has a different method to progress through.

Rank 1:

The first rank will initiate the social link on April 14th. This will unlock Rejuvenation, increasing the healing items stock available at Takemi’s clinic. Additionally, it adds a point to your Guts stat.

Dialogue 1: Based on today’s results, I think I can whip up some new medicine for next time. Drop by when you’re ready for it. – Select, “Please go easy on me.”

Before you can achieve this rank, make sure to have Rank 2 of your Guts rank. You can partake in daily activities to do so.

Dialogue 1: You don’t seem to be sick… Are you up to something illegal!? – Select, “I have a bad heart.”
Dialogue 2: I’m so over this. – Select, “I agree.”
Dialogue 3 (On phone call): You know how it is. Some patients get sick on their way back home. – Select, “I’m totally fine.”

The Sterilisation ability will be unlocked in this rank, further increasing the clinic’s stock.

Dialogue 1: Participating in clinical trials run by a doctor like that? – Select, “I don’t mind.”
Dialogue 2 (On phone call): You… haven’t told anyone about my drugs, right? – Select, “Of course not.”

Adds a point to your Guts stat.

Dialogue 1: …… – Select, “Dr. Takemi will help.”
Dialogue 2: Hehe. – Select, “You seem happy.”
Dialogue 3 (On phone call): Especially after approving that girl’s consultation without my permission. – Select, “I’ll reflect on my mistakes.”

This rank unlocks Immunisation, adding a stock of support items for the clinic along with a Guts point.

Dialogue 1: That’s why it’s harmless for people who don’t have the disease… probably. – Select, “That’s good.”
Dialogue 2 (On phone call): Also… sorry for the long talk today. I wasn’t planning on telling you all that. – Select, “About Miwa-chan?”

Dialogue 1: That’s my role as the Plague. I’m not suited for all this other stuff. – Select, “It suits you.”
Dialogue 2(On phone call): I’ll need you to stick around just a little bit longer. I hope you can handle it. – Select, “You can count on me.”

The item cost after this rank will decrease significantly.

Dialogue 1: …… – Select, “This is harassment.”
Dialogue 2: I can’t… – Select, “Just rest for today.”
Dialogue 3: Ugh. I wish I hadn’t shown you that side of me… – Select, “We all do sometimes.”

From here, you will need at least Rank 4 of Charisma. Additionally, you will unlock the Bad Medicine side quest in Memetos Chemdah Area 2.

Complete the quest and return to the clinic to continue your social link.

Dialogue 1: So she’s… she’s alive… – Select, “Let’s get to work, doctor.”
Dialogue 2: Sorry. Just hang in there, OK? – Select, “It’s for you.”
Dialogue 3 (On phone call): Miwa-chan was fighting all that time. I have to fight for her, too. – Select, “I’ll be cheering you on.”

At this point, you will receive the option to either engage in romance with her or keep her limited to a doctor only.

Dialogue 1: All this is thanks to you helping me with the clinical trials. – Select, “It was rough.”
Dialogue 2: Why don’t you tell me the truth about why you kept coming to me? – Select “I wanted to see you” for romance or select “It was for my exams” to maintain a platonic relationship.
Dialogue 3 (If romanced): …Don’t tell me you’re in love with me or something.– Select, “I love you.”
Dialogue 4: Or… I can give you a “special examination” if you’d like. – Select, “It isn’t a joke.”
Dialogue 5 (If romanced): Turns out my little guinea pig caught an illness that’s even more annoying and persistent than Crawford-Ende’s. – Select,” So did you.”
