AI Limit is an interesting take on a soulslike that provides gamers with an engaging experience. The game also has the element of exploration that makes it more immersive and rewarding. An important item players can find while exploring is soil samples. These items are required to progress Delpha’s questline and also unlock achievements/trophies.
Soil samples also increase the player’s Life Dew charges, which is a handy benefit. While the soil samples can be collected at any time in the game, Delpha disappears if you don’t complete his quest before progressing too far in the game, locking you out from completing the questline. Here are all the soil sample locations in AI Limit that will help you easily find them.
Soil Sample #1: Flooded Street (Sunken City Overground)
- Branch Location: Survivors’ Stronghold (Flooded Street)
Go to the left of the branch, and you’ll notice a group of NPCs. Go past them and locate an NPC who’s staring at a wall. The concrete wall should be covered in algae, and the soil sample is next to the wall and the NPC.
Soil Sample #2: Withered Forest (Twilight Hill)
- Branch Location: Deadwoods (Withered Forest)
From the branch, go to the right into the poisonous lake. After getting into the lake, take the center path that veers left. The soil sample should be on the left after you enter the cave on the path, near some stones.
Soil Sample #3: Underground Parish (Sunken City Underground)
- Branch Location: Mansion Ground Floor (Underground Parish)
Leave the branch and take the main path that will eventually lead to a Void enemy wielding a harpoon. There, you can ignore the enemy and go down two platforms and look for a sewage pipe. In the sewage pipe, follow the path until you reach a dead end. The soil sample should be easily visible here at the end of the path.
Soil Sample #4: Sewer Town North
- Branch Location: Sedimentation Tank (North)
Follow the main path from the branch and go down two levels to reach the bottom level. There should be an armored and massive Void enemy next to a destroyed robot. Defeat or avoid the enemy and grab the soil sample behind it.
Soil Sample #5: Watch Tower (Twilight Hill)
- Branch Location: Watch Tower (Spirit Depths)
From the branch head, follow the path across the first red crystalline walkway. Turn left and go down two levels to reach three Church enemies. Ignore them and go counterclockwise around the path to find a small concealed room. The soil sample will be sitting inside this room.
Soil Sample #6: Arboretum (Twilight Hill)
- Branch Location: Arboretum (Withered Forest)
This specific soil sample requires more effort to find than the others. Head to the Watch Tower branch in Twilight Hill’s Spirit Depths area, and go past the room where the Panic Reaper and Cleansing Knight fight. From here, go down to the red crystalline platforms.
You should see a red platform that is longer than the rest and lets you access the central tower. Cross the invisible bridge and enter the central tower. Take the elevator up to the next level and disable the sentry eyes. You can then take the elevator to the top of the tower and kick a ladder down for a shortcut for the future.
After defeating a Church soldier and removing a Dew Essence from a butterfly, take the elevator down. There should be red platforms below on the right side. Fall and enter the rift to enter the Aroboretum area. Continue forward on the long and narrow rocky path to eventually reach the Arboretum, where the soil sample should be.
Soil Sample #7: Sewer Town Center Subway Station
- Branch Location: Subway Station (Sewer Town Center)
From the branch, head down the main path until you fall down a hole. There will be half-human acid-spitting enemies there, and the soil sample should be just off the platform you fell on. If you can’t find Delpha to give this soil sample to, try checking the Arboretum. The AI Limit NPC moves there after being given the Arboretum soil sample instead of staying at the temporary campsite.
