The Forge Ore Guide: Best Mining Strategy and Value List

The Forge official artwork

Mining ores in The Forge isn’t just about selling them for gold, but also about forging better weapons and gear. You can spend a lot of time in the caves if you can’t mine efficiently, so follow this guide for all the tips and tricks on how ore mining works in this Roblox game, including a value list of all available ores.

Best Strategy for Mining Ores in The Forge

Dwarf race

You need to consider three things to be able to mine in the most effective way in The Forge:

  1. Choose the best mining race: Dwarf.
  2. Get the best possible pickaxe for your level.
  3. Farm and equip runes for boosting your mining yield.

There are several different options when it comes to forging a pickaxe, but you’ll be able to get one only at a certain level and for a certain price. Here are the best pickaxe options for every game level:

  • Early game: Platinum Pickaxe ($10,000)
  • Mid-game: Mythril Pickaxe ($67,500)
  • Late game: Arcane Pickaxe ($125,000)

Each of these pickaxes will have free slots for runes that are extremely helpful when it comes to increasing the amount of mined ores you get per session. Farm these runes from Delver Zombies or Bombers in Forgotten Kingdom caves, then attach these runes at the Runemaker:

  • Luck Miner Shard boosts your luck for getting more rare and mythical ores.
  • Power Miner Shard increases your Mine Power damage, allowing you to break the ores faster.
  • Speed Miner Shard increases your mining speed.
  • Yield Miner Shard grants a 5% chance to gain extra ore per hit.

The starting island doesn’t have that many valuable ores, so it’s recommended to get to level 10 as quickly as possible, so you can teleport to the second island, where the real riches are. But here’s what you can get from the beginner caves:

Forgotten Kingdom Ores Value List

Lightite ore

The main difference between the starter island caves and the Forgotten Kingdom caves is that the latter ones are full of hostile mobs, so you need to forge weapons before going in. Also, to be able to break Basalt Veins and Volcanic Rock, you’ll need an upgraded pickaxe, which you can do at Miner Fred’s Shop. Then, you can start digging the following ores:
