Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Protagonists’ Relationship ‘Exciting’; Fighting Animations Recaptured

Naughty Dog has commented on the relationship between the protagonists in the upcoming Uncharted 4 story expansion, The Lost Legacy, while confirming that it has recaptured “a lot” of animations for the title.

Speaking to the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, game director Kurt Margenau said: “The idea of the chemistry of Nadine and Chloe together, it gets the gears turning and it’s exciting to think about the prospects of where that relationship could go.”

The developer added that it wanted Lost Legacy heroine Chloe to have her “own personality”, distinct from series protagonist Nathan Drake, and that it had rethought and “recaptured” a lot of animations as well as her fighting style, which includes all-different melee moves.

Naughty Dog also discussed the title’s setting, and how it will differ from the base Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End game.

Uncharted: The Lost legacy is scheduled to release exclusively for PS4 in 2017.

I just hope they don’t make them lovers for the sake of it. I would really love to see two powerful women who work well together not have the “let’s make them lovers to set some precedent”. We have so very few powerful women icons we don’t need to stereotype every woman of power as a particular sexual orientation.
