Cyberpunk 2077 release date has not been officially announced yet and whenever there is a trailer or a demo it says that the game will be released when it is ready. A new job listing from CDPR mentions that the developer is looking for a new “Release Manager”. This could mean that Cyberpunk 2077 is closer to release than we thought.
While the listing does not mention Cyberpunk 2077 or a release date for the game, you can join the dots. Here is what the job listing mentions:
“As release manager you will cooperate and communicate with all stakeholders from the CD Projekt involved in the release and take active part in organizing whole process. It includes submissions to first party console manufacturers, oversee compliance certification process and working with partners on publishing process on multiple platforms.”
The listing also mentions some responsibilities and while there are plenty, the ones that concern us are as follows:
- Active part of overall product launch process.
- Interface with global release manager to ensure successful product release
- Submitting builds to external partners inside and out, and overseeing all aspects of external build certification
- Create and manage the release checklist
- Working closely with Live Ops team to coordinate and publish frequent builds, hotfixes, and patches
Keeping all this in mind, it seems that Cyberpunk 2077 is in the final stages of development and that the release date could be announced very soon. CDPR did mention that it has a strong show planned for E3 2019 and it is possible that we will get a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 at the event.
This is a job listing so do take this information with a grain of salt until it is confirmed by the developer or publishing groups. What we can tell you is that CDPR is working on another game as well. The developer has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a very big game and that it will not have an Alpha or Beta before launch.
Let us know what you think about Cyberpunk 2077 and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it comes out.
