Stalker 2 doesn’t contain an option to enable night vision, but there are some tools you can use in the game to allow you to see in the dark, in the absence of Night vision.
While we don’t have a comment from the developers on the addition of night-vision gear to the game to allow players to the see in the dark, there is fan outrage on social media platforms. Several fans on social media including Twitter (X) and Reddit commenting for night-vision gear in the latest Stalker instalment.
Can Players Enable Night Vision in Stalker 2?
No, players cannot enable Night Vision in Stalker 2. However, there is an option to enable the flashlight on your helmet. However, fans should note that this isn’t nowhere near Night Vision goggles or gear, something usually seen in the previous entries of Stalker franchise.
Fans can equip and turn on your flashlight in both the PC and console versions of Stalker 2. Fans can light up the area around to tackle monsters and human enemies in the dark, and locate objects.
How to use the Flashlight in Stalker 2
On PC, using a Mouse and Keyboard, click on the Tab to open the Radial weapon menu. Press E to turn on the flashlight.
On consoles, while using an XBOX controller, fans can quickly press RB key to open the radial menu and then equip and enable flashlight from there and turn it on.
The Flashlight in Stalker 2, like the realism on some of its weapons and gear, doesn’t run on batteries. Fans can use the flashlight in Stalker 2 without worrying that it’ll run out of batteries.
Night Vision Mod
Players can download the ‘NVG Night Vision Goggles Reshade mod’ from Nexus Mods, which in turn, instead of illuminating the area around you it reshades the area with a green tint, similar to an effect given by night-vision gear in the game. This mod will then allow players to see in the dark in Stalker 2.
