It’s been an incredibly great year for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. With the release of Shadows, the series has been on everyone’s radar more than ever before, especially since it helps piece together the timeline between each of the games. However, there really haven’t been any complete remakes of any of the games, reworking them to reflect what you typically expect of modern gaming. According to XCancel user @TheRealZephryss, the Black Flag remake isn’t only on its way, but it’ll launch before Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe.
The original poster is a self-proclaimed Assassin’s Creed fan and is well-known for contributing frequently to the franchise’s community. So, it’s almost safe to say that the information is correct since it’s coming from him. However, not only does he predict that we’ll get Black Flag before the codenamed game, we will also get another codenamed game before Hexe. We’re supposedly going to be getting Codename Invictus as well.
Black Flag has become one of the most highly-respected Assassin’s Creed titles of all time, as it introduced the concept of a completely open-world to the series. It was at that point that we started to get games like Origins, Valhalla , and more. If Ubisoft really does dive in and create a remake for the game, then I can only expect it to be an incredibly immersive pirate simulation unlike any other. Sea of Thieves and Skull and Bones will have a run for their money.
There isn’t much information known about what Codename Invictus is. According to the image shared by @TheRealZepphyr, who credits @_Tom_Henderson_, another popular game leaker, the game will heavily rely on the history of the games. However, it is unknown what that context is or what the story will be. Hopefully, we will hear more about either of these games as the year progresses.
