Ubisoft’s always-online multiplayer melee title For Honor does not feature dedicated online servers, instead relying on peer-to-peer connectivity.
The net result of this functionality, at least as far as the game’s ongoing technical test is concerned, are constant disconnections, game interruptions and reinstancing every time any user leaves the current match.
The issue was brought to light by alpha test user El_Duairra, while users have also been taking to social media to express their disappointment at what many perceive Ubisoft’s ‘cutting of corners’ with its latest original IP.
Some players have even gone so far as to create a petition calling on the publisher to invest in dedicated multiplayer servers for the title.
For Honor is scheduled to release on February 14, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
