Developed by Monolith Productions, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is set in the Lord of the Rings universe between the end of the Hobbit and the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring. Originally scheduled for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 7th October 2014, it was moved to the week before which avoids a clash with the highly anticipated Alien: Isolation.
Shadow of Mordor sees a ranger of Gondor known as Talion, responsible for guarding the Black Gate killed and then revived with wraith abilities that he will use to avenge his family’s murder. Talion is both voiced and motion captured by Troy Baker (Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins) and is the protagonist of the game. Over the course of the game players will meet some familiar faces such as Gollum and learn of how Mordor became the wasteland it is in the Lord of the Rings saga.
Find below an hour of gameplay which is taken from just a couple of hours into the game on PS4 once we got to grips with the gameplay. Enjoy.
