Nintendo have officially announced that the highly anticipated remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is on its way to the 3DS in Spring 2015.
President Satoru Iwata confirmed the news in the company’s latest Nintendo Direct presentation, held yesterday.
Majora’s Mask will be hoping to emulate the phenomenal success of its predecessor, Ocarina of Time, which was remade for the handheld console back in 2011. Said to be the creepiest of the Legend of Zelda series, Majora’s Mask has continued to be a huge hit with players since its original release on the N64 in late 2000. If the announcement’s accompanying trailer is anything to go by, then creepy is an understatement…
European Zelda fans can look forward to picking up the Majora’s Mask collector’s edition, which comes with quite a nice amount of nerdy swag, including a steelbook, pin badge, double-sided poster and more:
Do you think you’ll be picking up this old gem, which Iwata has promised to make “more accessible” for players on the 3DS?
