Although a sequel for Naughty Dog’s massively successful The Last of Us would seem a lock, the recent discovery of a former developer’s LinkedIn profile has all but confirmed development has already begun on the title.
The account of The Last of Us’ lead character artist Michael Knowland, who left the Santa Monica-based developer in April, previously revealed that he was working on Uncharted 4, as well as an “unannounced AAA” game. Today, an eagle-eyed NeoGAF forum user spotted that this had been changed to The Last of Us 2. With Knowland stating that he worked on prototype head sculpts for the so far-unannounced sequel prior to his departure in April, it would seem to suggest that production on the game is well under way.
