Sony Announces PS Store Discount Details, Rolls Out PS Plus Extensions

Update (January 21): Sony has issued a correction, stating that preorders will not be included in the promotion.

Sony has today confirmed the details for its previously announced ten percent PS Store discount for PSN users.

From 9am PST on Friday, January 23 until 9am on Monday, January 26, PSN members can use a forthcoming promotion code (available via social media and the store itself) to redeem the discount on a total cart purchase. Preorders, games, TV shows and movies are all included in the promotion, although some exclusions – mainly service and PS Plus subscriptions – do apply.

Furthermore, Sony confirmed that it has started to roll out the promised 5-day PlayStation Plus membership extensions for those affected by PSN service interruptions over the Christmas period, with no user activation being required.
