The movie adaptation of The Last of Us has just seen the completion of its second draft script, according to its writer.
Neil Druckmann, who also wrote and co-directed the game for Naughty Dog, told Game Informer: “When I’m in the office, it’s Uncharted 4 [that I’m working on] all the time; when I should be sleeping, it’s the [Last of Us] movie.”
He said that the script is coming on “really well”, adding: “We just finished the second draft, and we did a table read with a bunch of actors, and that’s where we’re at.
“There’s some big changes, but the tone and what the story’s trying to say is pretty faithful to the game.”
