Terraria Rated by USK; Wii U and 3DS Releases Incoming

After months of speculation, popular 2D indie sandbox game Terraria looks set to hit the Wii and 3DS in the near future.

The German media ratings board USK recently rated both versions of the 505 Games-published title, all but confirming its upcoming release on Nintendo’s flagship consoles.

Back in January, eagle-eyed GameFly users noticed that Terraria was listed as an upcoming release for Wii U and 3DS, though the pages in question were removed several days later. Retailer Amazon has also uploaded a pre-order page for the game, with a placeholder release date of October 31, 2015.

Terraria was originally released for PC back in 2011, with its most recent ports coming for PS4 and Xbox One in November of last year. The title, which holds a Metascore of 83, features exploration, crafting, construction, and combat with a variety of creatures in a randomly generated 2D world. It is often likened to 3D sandbox giant Minecraft.

No firm release date for the game on Wii U or 3DS has yet been provided.
