The hotly anticipated Rugby League Live 3 is now available in New Zealand, a full two days before its originally scheduled launch.
Early on Tuesday, reports emerged on social media that a branch of Civic Video, a Wellington-based movie and video game rental retailer, had mistakenly ignored the game’s ‘street date’ of Thursday, September 10, and allowed customers to rent the Big Ant Studios-developed sports sim prior to its official release.
As a result of widespread fan requests following the revelation, distributor Tru Blu Games has confirmed that it has authorised leading NZ retailers JB Hi-Fi and EB Games to immediately offer their stock of RLL3 for sale. The game’s Australian and UK release dates of September 10 and September 17, respectively, are not affected by today’s announcement.
In related news, Big Ant Studios CEO Ross Symons has confirmed the existence of a ‘day zero’ patch for the game, which users will be prompted to download after booting the title on their console for the first time.
