Super Mario Maker is a game that we’ve all dreamed about before. How many times have you thought, “I wish I could make my own Mario game”? And the new Wii U title allows you to do just that. It provides you with all the necessary tools to make your own epic Mario levels. But not only that, it also opens the door to let you experience classic Super Mario levels in a completely new way.
In this video, JD Schmidt shows how you can create retro Mario courses nearly brick-for-brick, and then play them as if it’s a completely new game. He has recreated the iconic first level of Super Mario Bros. 3, and then set it to Super Mario World graphics and gameplay. The course is online and available to play right now.
