The critically acclaimed cryptic, puzzle game, The Talos Principle, will have its first worldwide retail release October 13 for the PS4 with a pre-order offer available through Best Buy.
A $10 Best Buy gift card will be given to players who pre-order the title at their local Best Buy, but pre-purchases can also be made at GameStop or Amazon. This retail release comes 10 months after The Talos Principle’s initial digital release on PC and is made possible through publisher, Devolver Digital.
On top of the original game, developer Croteam have made sure to add the “Road to Gehenna” expansion pack that released for PC in July 2015 to the Deluxe Edition which gives more than 20 extra puzzles along with exploring new plot elements aside from the original story. The expansion also gives gamers the chance to play as a previously unplayable character, Uriel- a messenger to The Talos Principle’s God figure, Elohim.
The Talos Principle is set in a post-humanity world and has an unnamed android protagonist solving puzzles to reach a mysterious tower. Once faced with the tower, players will have to make a decision that will result in multiple endings. The title received primarily positive reviews and was awarded a Metacritic score of 85 out of 100.
