A listing on Xbox.com has revealed Treyarch’s plan to release fan-favourite maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 from both the World at War and Black Ops series.
Similar to Nuketown 2065, these classic maps will be re-imagined and redesigned to fit the fast paced, high octane gameplay of Black Ops 3. The Season Pass will offer the standard four expansion packs, with each containing new multiplayer content and “thrilling” new Zombies content. The price of the Season Pass has yet to be revealed, but we could assume based on past expansion passes that it will cost roughly $50.
Interestingly, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Season Pass will not be available for the Xbox 360 version of the game. It’s also worth noting that ‘The Giant’ bonus Zombies map will not be available on the console either. According to Treyarch, the map is ‘set in a World War II-era research facility’, where players can ‘re-live the chaos of Treyarch’s classic Der Riese Zombies map, picking up the Zombies story with Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo where Origins left off’.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC on November 6, with the first of its expansions coming in 2016.
