During day two of PAX Australia 2015 earlier, Just Cause 3 developers Avalanche Studios treated attendees to a high-octane, hour-long live gameplay session of the upcoming open world game.
Producer Omar Shakir took the controls while game director Roland Lesterlin (incorrectly credited as Lesterland) walked viewers through the action on screen. The pair showed off a small section of Just Cause 3’s 400 square mile map in sandbox mode, before playing through a full mission from the game. Interestingly, the pair also confirmed rumours of David Tennant making an appearance in the game as a propaganda minister; his voice was featured prominently via the in-game radios.
The presentation was an epic ride of tethers and explosions, along with a focus on the new methods of traversing Just Cause 3’s vast Mediterranean-style environment, including a slowed-down parachute that allows for greater vertical exploration and aerial combat, as well as the newly added wing-suit.
You can view the live gameplay, via the PAX Aus Twitch channel, in its entirety below (video starts at 3:42:15):
Just Cause 3 is scheduled to release for PS4, Xbox One and PC on December 1.
